About Markus Fischer
For twenty‑five years, Markus Fischer has been a steady, compassionate force in the lives of young people across Lawrence. Since joining the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence in 2001, Markus has dedicated his career to creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where children can learn, grow, and discover their potential. His leadership has shaped not only the programs offered at the Club, but the culture—one built on respect, opportunity, and unwavering belief in every child who walks through the doors.
The Exchange Club of Lawrence and the Andovers is proud to honor Markus Fischer with the Book of Golden Deeds Award—recognizing a leader whose daily work embodies service, compassion, and the belief that every child deserves a bright future. His commitment has strengthened our community in ways that will be felt for generations.
